The chalet is cozy and located on a beautiful 2-acre property with a mountain view. The hot tub was definitely the highlight of our stay! We also loved the foosball table, dartboard, and record player. Bed was super comfy. The chalet is located 5 minutes from Main Street and close to restaurants/shops. One thing to note is if you are cooking/frying anything, open the windows in the kitchen and turn on the vent over the stove because the smoke alarm system can be sensitive, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Overall we had a great time and recommend staying at the chalet when visiting The Catskills.”

Within drivable distance to restaurants and markets nearby. If you're a hiker, this area is perfect for you! However, if you're more indoorsy, the Chalet can keep you entertained as well. A few things that could have been better - the grill was dirty, and the propane tank was empty. Although, on contacting Daniel he quickly sent someone over who helped us with it. Many things in the house were labelled with instructions but we wish the shampoo and body wash were labelled in the washroom too so that we could distinguish between them. The vinyl record player wasn’t able to play the records. And the master bedroom balcony door was taped to the wall, but the main outdoor patio more than made up for it! Another thing to note, the bedrooms don’t have much light but we found one lamp in the closet. We loved the hot tub, but be careful while getting into it. When the jets are on you can’t see the surface much. I tripped and hurt my leg a little. The control panel of the hot tub is at the end where the cover folds up, a bit difficult to access but easy to figure it out.”

It feels private and comfortable while still being accessible. The working fireplace and hot tub came in handy for the chilly weekend (I am partial to wood burning fireplaces over gas ones so this was a big plus for me and something that is becoming less common to find). Dan's amenity guides were straight forward and easy to follow. Dan himself went above and beyond as a host when our car rental broke down as we tried to leave at checkout time, allowing us to stay beyond the agreed time while we waited over 4 hours for the car rental company to resolve the issue. Would definitely come again next time we need to get away from the city!”

“We had the most wonderful two weeks at Dan’s cabin with our two young kids and baby and we are already planning our return! The cabin is a lovely, stylish and homely space with so many extra tech touches that added to our stay - outside speakers to soundtrack a relaxing evening on the deck or hot tub, plenty of usb chargers and a great sound system inside. The chairs out on the deck are super comfortable and we used the grill daily to cook, and outside table to eat at. The fire pit and chiminea were lovely when the temperature dropped later on in the evening and the fact that all fuel for them and the grill were included for our stay was a much appreciated touch. The garden is a wonderful and relaxing space, with gorgeous mountain views and we were excited to see red squirrels, rabbits, a ground hog and even a skunk during our stay! Neighbours are close enough that you don’t feel completely cut off and remote, but the numerous pine trees around the borders of the property give it a real sense of seclusion and privacy. From the moment we booked, Dan was keen to ensure we had a great stay; offering suggestions of local things we could do with kids, looking into a laundry service we could use during our stay, and he was so fast to respond to any other questions we had. Windham itself was a sweet town and a great base for visiting the Kaaterskill Falls, local lakes and the Windham Path. We booked a farm tour for the kids at nearby Hull-o Farm which the kids LOVED and bought amazing meat from there too. We also did an easy and scenic drive to Woodstock on one of the days. Could not recommend Dan’s place more!”
